About the Artwork

Kochia Bushes with Mt Fuji in the Background watercolor painting by Beverly Claire Kaiya

Kochia Bushes with Mt Fuji in the Background watercolor painting. Note: The watermark in the preview above will not appear on the original work.

Every autumn hundreds of Kochia bushes turn crimson at Oishi Park in Yamanashi Prefecture. The park faces Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Five Lakes surrounding Mt Fuji. Enjoy this colorful autumn scene. I painted this watercolor sketch in late October 2013. No snow atop the mountain yet at this time of year.
